Norman Beach is the most accessible and popular beach at Wilsons Promontory National Park, stretching approximately 1.5 kilometres of white sand just minutes' walk from the Tidal River campground and facilities. Flanked by Pillar Point to the north and Norman Point to the south, it frames a view of Mount Oberon and the offshore islands that makes it one of the most photographed beach scenes in Gippsland.

The beach offers gentle surf suitable for families and less confident swimmers, and a calm tidal creek at the northern end provides a safe paddling option for young children. On settled days, snorkelling is worthwhile along the rocky margins, as the beach sits within the Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park. Kangaroos, wombats, and emus are frequently spotted on and around the beach, particularly in the early morning and at dusk.

A day visitor area near the carpark includes picnic tables, gas barbecues, and toilet and shower facilities. Free all-terrain beach wheelchairs and TrailRiders are available from the Tidal River Visitor Centre for visitors with mobility needs.

Norman Beach is unpatrolled, and swimmers should be aware of rough surf, shallow water hazards, and slippery rocks near the headlands. The beach is busiest during school holidays and summer weekends, and early arrival is recommended to secure parking.
