The Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitor Experience in Dubbo puts visitors inside the world of one of Australia's most iconic institutions. Through interactive exhibits, augmented reality, and real aircraft including a historic de Havilland Fox Moth and a modern Beechcraft King Air, the centre tells the story of how doctors, nurses, and pilots deliver medical care to people living across millions of square kilometres of remote Australia.

The experience is housed at the Dubbo RFDS base adjacent to Dubbo City Regional Airport, which adds an authentic operational feel to the visit. Displays explore the history of the Flying Doctor from its founding in 1928 through to modern aeromedical operations, including the communication systems, surgical equipment, and logistics that make remote healthcare possible.

All proceeds from admissions and merchandise go directly towards purchasing new aircraft and vital medical equipment, meaning every ticket sold contributes to the continuation of the service. The on-site cafe is open through the day. School groups, conference bookings, and function hire are also accommodated at the facility.

A local discount applies for residents of designated Dubbo postcodes purchasing tickets in person. A combined adventure pass bundles entry here with other Dubbo region attractions at a saving.
