Bastille Day French Festival

Sydney's French community takes over Circular Quay for four days in July.

Cultural

A four-day celebration of French culture in Sydney around Bastille Day (14 July), with food stalls, live music and cultural events at Circular Quay.

The Sydney French Festival has run since 2010 and is held each year around Bastille Day (14 July). It takes over the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay and the surrounding promenades for four days of French food, wine, music and culture. It is organised by the French Australian Chamber of Commerce and is free to attend.

Standout features include French bakery and patisserie stalls, cheese and wine tastings, live music including Edith Piaf tribute acts, a cinema programme of classic French films, and a market of imported French products. The festival overlaps with the MasterChef Australia finale and other food-focused winter events in Sydney.
